Web Proxy Settings

Web Proxy settings configure outbound proxy access for a Mini DBA Engine. Use this page when the engine must reach licensing, cloud, AI, or notification services through a corporate proxy.

Mini DBA web proxy settings

Fields

  • Proxy URL: proxy endpoint, such as http://proxy.company.com:8080.
  • User Name: optional proxy username.
  • Password: optional proxy password.

When A Proxy Matters

Configure a proxy if outbound calls fail for:

  • License activation or validation.
  • Cloud provider integrations.
  • Slack, Teams, PagerDuty, Jira, or email providers.
  • AI provider requests.
  • Web API calls required by the deployment.

Workflow

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Select Web Proxy.
  3. Enter the proxy URL and credentials.
  4. Save.
  5. Retry the failed outbound action.
  6. Check Service Log for connection errors.

Proxy Troubleshooting

Web proxy settings affect outbound calls made by the Mini DBA Engine. If licensing, cloud provider tests, AI provider requests, or notification integrations fail, confirm whether the engine host can reach the external service directly or must use a corporate proxy.

Check the proxy URL format, authentication method, firewall rules, certificate inspection, and whether the proxy allows outbound HTTPS to the target service. If credentials are required, store them according to your organization's secret management policy and rotate them when staff or service accounts change.

After changing proxy settings, retry the specific action that failed and review Service Log. A successful save only means Mini DBA stored the settings; it does not prove every external endpoint is reachable.

Web Proxy Settings FAQ

Does the proxy apply to browser traffic or engine traffic?

It applies to Mini DBA Engine outbound calls. Browser network settings are separate.

Why does one integration work while another fails?

Different services use different domains, authentication, certificates, and proxy rules.

What should I collect for support?

Collect the target feature, proxy URL pattern, time of failure, service log message, and whether the engine host can reach the endpoint outside Mini DBA.
