The Alert Log Errors alert notifies you when its configured condition is met on Oracle instances so you can investigate and respond.
Mini DBA describes this alert as: Critical errors detected in Oracle alert log Includes ORA-00600, ORA-07445, and other critical errors Requires DBA investigation Mini DBA evaluates this alert once a minute so changes are detected quickly.
This alert surfaces critical Oracle alert-log entries, including internal errors and other conditions that may affect availability, integrity, recovery, or background processes.
Enable it on production and shared Oracle instances. Route errors according to the Oracle error code and service impact rather than waiting for a workload baseline.
This alert is based on a state or event rather than a numeric threshold. Tune its schedule, scope, severity, and notification route so that the response matches the importance of the instance.
Open the relevant alert-log entries, capture the Oracle error codes, timestamps, and surrounding messages, and correlate them with instance state, storage, jobs, sessions, and recent changes. Follow the response for the specific Oracle error; the alert does not by itself indicate that disk space should be freed.
Handle known benign messages by Oracle error code and context, but keep new, recurring, internal, corruption, and availability-related errors visible. Do not suppress the complete alert-log signal.
